Constantine here.

My Facebook page was hacked and deleted by someone yesterday. Because I’m in Japan, this was the happy surprise I found waiting for me when I returned to my hotel. Truly, the cherry on top of an amazing week.

We like to talk about how bullying within the cosplay community needs to stop, how we need to stop name calling or questioning each others ‘geek cred.’ This is absolutely true.

I’ve never really had a truly negative experience within the cosplay community until this week. I just love making costumes and meeting new people — that is truly the main motivation for my cosplay.

But after this week, I think I can say I now understand what it’s like to be bullied.

I have had people call into question even the basic sincerity of my words and actions.

I have had people posting my personal information online.

I have received numerous hurtful and mean-spirited comments, emails, and tweets. One of my personal favorites was ‘I hope you and your site get raped by the collective wrath of the internet.’

And I have had my Facebook page, the main way I share images of my work and interact with the cosplay community deleted.

But, you know what? I’m not going to let it bother me. Hell, my life is pretty awesome. I have the freedom to do whatever I want with my life and, more importantly, I have a list of people who love and care about me.

So I’m not going to play into this silly cycle of drama that seems to suck in so many cosplayers and cosplay fans. Cosplay is a hobby about fun, it’s not some sort of Greek tradegy that destroys its participants through unending cycles of revenge and spite (though sometimes it might feel that way).

All I ask is that you guys help me spread the word that my Facebook was deleted, so I might reconnect with the people I enjoy interacting with so much!

This past weekend the C3 team attended Pacific Media Expo – an Asian entertainment convention in Los Angeles, CA. The convention itself was a blast and we had the opportunity to meet a ton of amazing cosplayers and fans! Check out our video coverage of the convention here:

I just got back from Long Beach Comic and Horror Convention ~ an annual comic convention held at the Long Beach Convention Center. It’s a fairly medium-sized convention, which is truly great, because it’s large enough to attract a lot of fantastic guests and artist, but small enough to interact with a lot of people and not get completely overwhelmed!

Hey everyone!

The full set of images from my Psylocke photoshoot it now up on my Facebook! Check it out!

I am also running a fundraiser for a new latex costume – http://www.constantineintokyo.com/donate – There are some pretty nifty donation rewards!

This past weekend, my friend Angi Viper and I did a few cosplay photoshoots and I made a quick behind-the-scenes video!

We photographed Psylocke vs. Black Canary (for a Marvel/DC mash-up) and then ‘Dark’ Psylocke vs. Psylocke. In the video, you can see me acting like a silly geek and showing off my totally rad dance moves.

Well, the C^3 Team and I are back from a whirlwind weekend at Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo 2012. Held in the Los Angeles Convention Center and only in it’s 2nd year, Comikaze Expo is a comic/pop culture megacon featuring tons of guests, exhibitors and cosplayers. Our convention coverage video will be out later this week, but I wanted to post a few snapshots from the convention here.
